This is limited to those 2nd stages/octopus purchased before July 2008 that have not undergone an authorised annual service.
It has come to our attention that an incorrectly assembled 2nd stage has been purchased. If you have an Apeks regulator or octopus that has never had an authorised annual service, regardless of how recently purchased, please take the regulator/octopus to your Apeks dealer to be visually inspected.
All Apeks dealers and distributors have been made aware of this issue. Do not dive with the regulator until it has been visually inspected. If it is not possible for you to return the regulator for inspection then please contact Apeks’ Customer Service Department for assistance. Apeks apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. Вкратце - В связи с тем, что поступила информация, что была продана неправильно собранная вторая ступень Апекс, все купленные до июля 2008 года вторые ступени регуляторов TX, ATX и XTX и октопусы, которые не проходили ещё плановый ремонт, нужно отнести на осмотр дилерам Апекса, независимо от того, когда они были куплены. Если это невозможно, то связаться с департаментом службы поддержки Апекса.
по информации с сайта www.dirdirect.com в дефектных регуляторах "забыли" установить прижимное кольцо для диафрагмы. Так что просто можно открутить крышку и посмотреть есть оно или нет.

The recall covers regulators which have not undergone an annual authorized service, if yours haven’t then please contact your local dealer to have the 2nd stages checked we just want to ensure the diaphragm protector is fitted correctly underneath the main front cover, this part can be seen visually through the cover if you are familiar with the Apeks brand, you can see the protector through the main cover on the TX and ATX fairly easily, but the XTX version it is a little more difficult this is why we are asking you to have them checked. Please follow the video and carefully carry out the simple test, please let me know your findings
